“Future orientation” and “effective leadership & governance” are critical factors that drive prosperity and well-being (Commission on Growth and Development). But the world’s persistent development gaps and inequalities continue to illustrate how short in supply these factors are.
Project Vision is an upcoming initiative to examine how countries start and sustain future-focused reform in pursuit of growth and development. Its ultimate objective: to help narrow the gap between the desirable and the feasible.
Project Vision will analyze and draw lessons from:
how institutions and practices help ensure that strategies “stick” and get implemented effectively – that is, continuously and consistently.
Project Vision will produce data analytics on trends, develop primary data on vision, strategy and implementation, propose best practices on the above, and serve as a repository of analysis and a forum for discussion.
Project in Project Vision thus refers to both a noun and a verb: an ongoing próject to document trends, visions & strategies and their implementation, and also the aspiration to projéct best practices and thereby promote future orientation and effective leadership & governance.
Coming to you in the foreseeable future!
